About GSLS
GSLS began in 1965. In 2006 our school achieved accreditation through the National Lutheran School Association. We are a mission of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, within the FL/GA District of the LCMS.
Lutherans have established schools in our country since 1640. There are more than 2,500 Lutheran elementary schools operated in the United States by member churches of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. These schools enroll over 240,000 children annually and constitute the largest Protestant school "system" in this country.
