LWML REGULAR MEETING

             The Good Shepherd women met for their May 2nd meeting.  Sharon thanked those that helped with the Stainbrook wedding reception.  We also saw the brochure for the Helping Hands and Hearts project that the group will be sponsoring.

             The Maundy Thursday soup supper was a big success and will be an annual event.  Sharon also thanks Judy McDermott for opening her house for the April meeting.  The women folded crosses for the Palm  Sunday service.

             LWML will have a dinner for the teachers this month in recognition of their hard work all year.

             Ideas for next year’s agenda were discussed and many good project were considered.  Some of those ideas include a Mother/Daughter tea, a cookie sale before Christmas, a Saturday night ice cream social, a cook book sale and a fund raiser with money going to a worthy charity.  We also welcome any other ideas that the congregation might have for us.

             There will be no meetings in June, July and August, but we look forward to our next meeting September 5th at 10:00 a.m.  So, we hope you have a wonderful summer, but in September we need all of our women to spend one Saturday morning a month in joyous fellowship with us.

The Ministry of Stewardship wishes to thank the congregation for their loving support of our 2009 Stewardship Campaign.  We should all be very grateful as we had an increase of our commitments over last year.
